In just a few short weeks I am changing jobs. Same location, same convenience of car-pooling with Hubby, and pretty much the same hours.
Pretty much.
With our current routine, I start work at 8:15.
In a few short weeks I will need to start at 8:00.
Fifteen minutes.
It doesn't sound like much, but when we're trying to get Hubby, Munchkin and I all ready and out of the house - fifteen minutes is HUGE!!!
It will mean backing up our wake up time a bit. The rest of the routine will be the same - but that earlier time will be critical. I never like getting out of bed in the winter - from cozy flannel and down to chilly hardwood and bathroom tile... ugh!
Plus we are coming up on the snowy season here... scraping cars, shoveling driveways - all that adds time in the morning.
But we've got a good team in the morning - and I know my boys will help make this work!!

Good luck! If it makes you feel any better, I have to be ready to greet 22 little children every morning at 7:25. Since I'm NOT a morning person I get to work between 6:45 and 7 to get myself and stuff together. Granted, I don't have the shoveling to do, but scraping my windshield does set me back several minutes. All while Matthew is just rolling out of bed...
p.s.- My team decided on the countries w/o me so I don't need the Japanese activities after all. Thanks anyway!
Oops- above message from your niece, Karen in SC! :)
It's amazing what 15 minutes is when you look at it from different perspectives. If you have 15 minutes more to stay snuggled in bed on a cool/cold morning, it flys by like 2 or 3 minutes, but when you are waiting for something, it crawls along at a snail's pace (slower that your turtles!). Just as not having that 15 minutes to do your moring routine takes a big bite out of your morning.
"We're going to need a bigger alarm clock..."
Congrats on the new job ~ And yes, 15 minutes can make a huge difference! Good luck.
