Turtle of the Day - a Random Act of Kindness

Yesterday I came home to find this in my mailbox. An online quilting friend had been hinting to our group that she had sent a mysterious package to someone. As I cannot think of any other reason why I would have received this - since I did not order it - I can only imagine that it is from her.

What a nice surprise!

What I can see of the fabrics are beautiful! I can almost smell the flowers - especially the Plumeria!!!! It would be a shame to cut them into small pieces -- I think they beg to be used someway as big blocks. We were in Hawaii almost 3 years ago when I was just beginning to get started quilting. I bought a few fat quarters and some patterns for Hawaiian quilting, but haven't used of it yet. And the turtle pattern is perfect for you!

Yeah!!! I'm so glad you like it!! I don't even know how I got on her site. I clicked from blog to blog and her name sounded familiar and then I realized she wrote two books that I've read. Next thing I knew I was on her stores web site and I saw these turtles. Immediately I had them in my shopping cart and was onto our yahoo group to get your address. I had sent a note asking them to leave the reciept out. Then of course, I just couldn't keep my mouth shut and told Jill and Moneik. When you get a chance (I'm not sure what pictures all came with the pattern) go take a look at her page with that pattern on it, there's so many different ways that she used those turtles. They just seem SOOOOOOO adorable and sooo perfect for you!!
