Giveaway: Lily Pocket Purse

Anyone who has been reading here for a while knows I am a HUGE fan of Lazy Girl Designs. Well, Joan has gone and won me over again with her latest design - the Lily Pocket Purse.

"Flirty, fun and full of pockets to stay organized. Lily is a handy, dependable and stylish companion. Wear Lily from your shoulder or cross-body to rest comfortably and securely at your hip."

This is my first Lily - done up in Moda's Happy Camper fabric. Lily features this cute pleated front ... and on the back she has a great little cell phone pocket. Interior pockets, and a top velcro closure round out her "take and go goodness."

My Lily has already been to work (which often involves cross-campus hikes), to the playground, to the baseball park, to the Dr's office, to the grocery store, to the farmer's market, and to the quilt shop. She's held up to every trip like a trooper - giving me easy one handed access while still being secure, lightweight, and just downright FUN.

She even held TWO baseballs, three pairs of sunglasses, a wallet and a camera - all in one evening!!!

I'd like to share Lily's wonderfulness with one of my readers - so I am giving away one Lily Pocket Purse pattern... (just the pattern - you provide the rest!)

There are multiple ways to enter - for a total of 4 possible entries per person:

1. Leave a comment on this post, telling me the most unusual thing you've carried around in your purse recently (my son's baseballs were in there longer than I would like to admit!)

2: Become a fan of Lazy Girl Designs group on Facebook and come back here to leave me a comment that you did (or that you already are).

3: Join the Lazy Girl Designs group on Yahoo, and come back here to tell me you joined (or that you are already a member).

4: If you have ever made a Lazy Girl Design's pattern - send me a link to a photo of your finished project! I love to see how other people's fabric choices make these patterns come alive!

Entries will be open until 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time on Friday, September 17th - so I can draw a winner and get it in the mail on the 18th!! (at least I have good intentions to do that!)

(oh - and this is the back of Lily - with that great and handy little outside pocket! It's deep enough for my LG enV 2 phone to ride
in quite securely and comfortably... plus a great spot to showcase some funky fabric or embroidery or other embellishments!)

ADDED NOTE: If I can't contact you - you can't win - so please be sure your contact information is either included in your message (email is fine) or that I can click on your name and find it easily in your blogger profile. If you don't get an email back from me -you are not entered!!

THANKS ALL - This Giveaway is now finished.

Oh boy, are you ready for the list.

tennis balls for the dog, feathers that I pick up on my walks, flower seed heads that I pick as I'm going along, ketchup, vinegar and sauce packets, dog biscuits/chews. A small toolkit that contains pliers and screw drivers ( well you never know. I'm amazed there's any room for my purse and phone really.
I'm a member of the FB group and I've made a few runaround bags this year which are on my finished slideshow.

Love and hugs Gina xxx

What a wonderful give away! You know I'm already a lazy girl but haven't managed to snag this pattern yet... and you've probably seen all the bags I've done.
As for the strangest thing I've recently carried in my purse, how about a spider in a baggie so my dh could check and see what kind of spider I got bitten by!

I don't know that there is anything unusual that I am carrying in my bag right now. It's just too small for anything extra to stuff in. :(

I really need to make myself a new bag. I should put a deadline on it for before the October retreat! lol

I really don't pack my purse with a ton of stuff because it only makes it that much harder to find anything!! Great giveaway - count me in!!

Well, I have 3 little kids, so pretty much anything could be in my purse. My main purse is Miranda-based, so it is large enough for just about anything! I'd say matchbox type cars are a regular, although not that unusual.

I'm already in the Facebook and Yahoo groups, mostly as a reader and not a poster. You can see my favorite (and first) LGD bag at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LazyGirlDesigns/photos/album/1325530196/pic/131945858/view?picmode

Are you kidding me? I carry EVERYTHING in my purse! I didn't know if I would want to make this new bag, since it doesn't look that big, but if you can carry baseballs in it ... well then, ok.

The strangest thing lately I've had in my bag is a bag of cherry tomatoes that a co-worker gave to me. I threw them in my purse when I left work, and when I got to the grocery store, put my hand in the bag, there they were! HOLY COW.

Anyway thanks for the giveaway!

I've made the Claire, Townpurse, Margo, Maggie, and Wonderwallet. I just bought the Chelsea Tote. I even got my friend who is more into scrapbooking to make her first Lazy and she loves it!!!

Found out about your giveaway on the LGD FB page. Nothing really unusual. I try to keep things light in my bag as I do get shoulder and neck pain if things get too heavy.

I've made a few LG bags... Claire and Miranda come to mind right at the moment.

Thanks for the chance!

I have made some Lazy Girl purses, but don't have pictures, sorry!

Just saw the link to your blog on FB and thought I'd check it out. Love your Lilly bag.

YAY! What a fun giveaway - and a really fun bag! I love the happy camper fabric. They are in my stash but I haven't found the "perfect" project to cut them for. This bag reminds me a lot of the Birdie Bag by Amy Butler, which I made in Lakehouse marachino cherry fabrics. It's a little big, so this pattern may just be a perfect addition!

I am a follower on FB already but not on Yahoo.

The only thing I have made by LG is the wonderwallet - no picture though b/c it's not my favorite.

I don't have a lot of strange items in my giant Birdie Bag. My items may be odd to some, but not to a crafter/quilter: scissors, needle & thread, a caligraphy pen (!?!) and a tape/adhesive runner for my scrapbooking.

Thanks for the chance to win a great pattern :)

I have followed you on Facebook for several months now -- really want to make one of the LG bags and this one looks so cute, with room for everything, maybe. My purse is pretty heavy. The most unusual thing ever in my purse? Well, a gazillion things, but nothing out of the ordinary... occasional rocks, feathers, brochures, notes, measuring tape, all the various store cards for their individual programs (that keeps one busy), eyeglass cleaner... No wonder it's so heavy!
I will clean up my act! Thanks for a chance at a lighter life!

1) Been a member of the LGD Yahoo website for quite a while.

2) The most recent LGD purse I made was the Margo Bag. Photos of it on my blogspot at http://oceanpeg.blogspot.com/search/label/Margo%20Handbag

3) Some might say that the strangest thing I carry in my purse is a change purse full of AA batteries. Why? Because they are for my DSL digital camera that resembles a 35 mm SLR camera, which usually is in my purse, too. That way, I'll always be prepared if the batteries in my camera die out and can make a quick battery change when needed for the camera...

I also keep some of that Sweet & Low sugar substitute in my bag for when I go somewhere that doesn't have any handy for a cup of coffee or tea ot the like.

Ocean Peg said...

Forgot to say that yesterday I had a gallon size plastic bag in the top of my my purse that contained a pint of milk, a 4 ounce container of grape juice along with a piece of whole wheat bread and butter. Had lunch at the senior citizens nutrition center. Brought these items home with me. We had spaghetti and meatballs for lunch, which I had there along with a cup of tea. Had left my camera home so I'd have room for this stuff in my purse. Take my camera out when I go to the Nutrition Center for lunch for doing same on other times too. Purse? My homemade Miranda, of course. Photo of it on Joan's Yahoo website in my Oceanpeg/Peggy in NJ photo album there.

Another unusual thing is a screwdriver in the wintertime. Because the door on my car freezes up and I use the screwdriver to force the door open in zero degreese weather.

Hi, I am a member of the yahoo group and a facebook fan. I do love the lazygirl purses.

As far as unusual purse items, the funniest thing was once when I had my dog at the vet, we got a treat (for the dog), I put it in my purse and later my husband was looking for a mint in my purse. So he pulled out the treat, thinking it was a mint and almost put it in his mouth. It was funny, but you had to be there!!

Margo, Claire and Maggie are in the to do pile soon ...

I don't know if this is unusual, but I use one of my Sassy's to carry my um, 'supplies' for the Bark Park - pick-up bags, doggie wipes, handi-wipes, leashes ....

I have been in the Yahoo group and also now a fan on FB Love the patterns and the ease of making the items. I am a grandma so with 3 grandkids you can only imagine what is in there...lol Love the design

I regularly carry a lot in my purses.... include camera, tape measure, folding scissors, and one of the tools that I learned to use when working as an alterations tailor... a small pocket knife that is used as a seam ripper. I also carry my pair of color value filters (a red one and a green one on a chain.)I even make all my bags with a pocket especially for the filters.

I am part of both groups. The strangest thing I have ever had in my purse is a guinea pig. I had to have my hands free and figured he'd be safe in there, so I stuck him in. I've been with the yahoo group for a couple of years and of course i'm liking (since there's no love-button to click) all things lazy on facebook too!

And now for the confession part... the strangest, weirdest, most unusual thing in my bag... hmm.... that would be last week when I had a big tupperware full of home made bread dough! =)

Hoping that gets me all the entries and a big bunch of luck (and Lily...)!

Like a Leatherman tool (very handy), a metal tape measure, leftover buns from lunch to bring home for the dog (he even likes them when I forget to give them to him the first day), my bingo dauber is in there right now.
Thanks for the chance to win!

I was at a bridal shower and we were asked for the oddest thing in our purses - all I could come up with was 2 very strange obituaries for people I didn't even know!
I'm a fan of Lazy Girl Designs on Facebook.
I think I've only got a picture of my newest Margo bag - here's a link:

Hi! I'm already a Facebook fan of Lazy Girl--I love seeing all the photos of bags folks have made. This bag pattern is really FUN and I would love to win it!

My purse is pretty light right now, but I do have M & M containers from church in it. Our youth use these containers as fund raisers as they are perfect for quarters--although the kids really like the green stuff!

Have fun sewing--I have several projects to work on this week, including a wall hanging for my Mom's birthday on Sunday; she will be 86 years young!

I've done several Lazy Girl bags. Just finished a Wonder Wallet to go with my new Sassy Bag. This Lily has really caught my attention. I've been looking for a bag with a single shoulder strap.

Thanks for the giveaway.

I've long been a fan of Lazy Girl Designs on Facebook and a member of the Yahoo email group.

I've made a number of Lazy Girl Designs but haven't taken any pictures. Today I'm making Runaround bags as gifts for the wife and daughter of my nephew who lives in Dubai.

I am an adoring fan on FB and the Yahoo groups. I have sewn up the LG tote pattern for my laptop, but I had to increase the patter to fit it! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30009124&l=8cf1a31dcc&id=1558209633

I can't say I've ever carried animals or dragons in my purse, but recently it harbored golf balls, running shoes and sweat bands, cheer poms for football games, lesson plans for teaching, markers and pens, and wood inserts for a tiered plate craft project. I think I might have had my wallet, but definitely NOT my glasses! (You haven't seen them have you??) :) Can't wait to hear who the lucky winner is!

I love Joan's designs & find her patterns very easy to follow. The most unusual item in my purse lately is probably my hubby's large, heavy tape measure for when we are shopping & need to measure something. I am a member of Lazy Girl Yahoo group & a fan on Facebook.

I didnt leave my contact information on here, but is a good thing as I have been getting all my quilting buddies hooked on Lazy Girl Designs. They all love them. While cleaning out my purse the other day I had popcorn, candy, bubbles and all the other grandkids items plus my soda's and other LGD accesaries like the wonder walet and purfect pouch sure glad the bubbles didn't open. I am on the Yahoo group and facebook so I am always following and seeing all the need items being made just makes you want to make more.Joan's designs are the easiest I have found to make and I even did my first zipper with her designs, I was so scared of doing it but I made one and kept on making them it was fun. Everybody thought I was crazy as I kept making them and didn't need all of them. The Lily is the one purse I don't have and would like to get either from here or will buy thanks for the giveaway.

Hmmm... let's see...
Recently, a huge zucchini (from friend's garden), a pair of slipper socks (always cold feet), my DGS's Lego robot creation ("Yes, Dear, I'll keep it safe for you!"), and the cut-off plug to my toaster (as a reminder... I needed to buy a replacement plug, but only remembered in the morning when I wanted to make toast)... just a typical day....
LOL!
Blessings!!!

OK, this must be the winner. We just moved and I was sorting, in the bottom corner of the pocket of my favorite bag was a pair of diaper pins. My youngest son is now 41 and the eldest is 46, so you can see how long these diaper pins have been there. Do they still make them??? I would adore to have the Lily purse, Lily was
the name of my most special Aunt, and it would bring happy memories each time I used the bag. Besides that
if I can still find the diaper pins, I would transfer them to this new bag.

I am a member of the LGD yahoo group and have made more Wonder Wallets than I can count in a year! My latest LG is a Town bag that I use for a laptop tote. I had to alter it a tad but it's great. I used some hand printed fabric I bought in Key West-too snazzy for words. Great bag Regina, as informative as your posts on Yahoo.
